The ideal home for Spirit would have someone who is home most of the time (or could take him to work with them) with a large fenced yard.
Spirit is dog friendly, but does have a high prey drive so he needs a home without cats or other small animals. While Spirt has been with us at Rescue Ridge, he has attended adoption events, kids sporting events, gone to parades and parks and has been extremely well behaved in each setting. Spirit takes a little time to fully trust you, but once he does he will bond with you and reward you with lots love and affection. Spirit is looking for a dog savvy, experienced owner who will understand his needs and can give him plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He knows many commands and is always eager to learn more. Spirt is very smart and has had some professional training. Spirit loves people and enjoys making new friends. Spirit loves walks, car rides, going on adventures, playing fetch and getting lots of attention. Spirit is a beautiful, unique looking, approximately 2 year old Shepherd mix.
